Y90 stands for Yttrium-90, which is an elemental radiation therapy for many types of metastatic cancer. Y90, though relatively new, it has been shown to increase survival rates and improve quality of life for many patients. It is also very often covered by insurance.
TIPS - is a channel made inside the liver to join two veins using x-ray guidance. A short, metal tube-shaped device known as a stent is used to keep the shunt open.

“We Are On the Forefront of Innovative & Minimally Invasive Procedures”
- Dr Jeb List
Do you have a family member with complicated liver disease or metastatic disease? Dr. List is able to perform TIPS for patients who are at increased risk of bleeding due to hemorrhagic conditions or liver disease.
TIPS stands for Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt. It helps to relieve high blood pressure that exists within the hepatic and gastric system. This is not related to “high blood pressure” that is treatable with a PCP visit to your doctor. Talk to your GI or Hepatologist if having a TIPS procedure is appropriate for you.
TOP 3 Procedures We Perform.
Renal Cryoablation - For kidney cancer. In most cases, the patient goes home the same day.
Uterine Artery Embolization - For Uterine Fibroids and Adenomyomatosis. Many women experience pain and are told surgery is needed to remove the fibroids. With IR, we can poke with a needle, turn off the blood supply to the fibroids and have you home the same day. No 6 week recovery, no risk of Pelvic Floor Dysfunction.
Prostate Artery Embolization - For Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia. We can shut off a small blood supply to the artery that is causing problems versus traditional surgery which can lead to nerve damage and impotence.
